The piece of metal is a small, flat brush bristle, and highly unlikely to be present in our products. We received seven complaints out of the hundreds of millions of bars sold, and no injuries have been reported. We are recalling these products as a precautionary measure because we believe transparency and the safety of our consumers are paramount.

Specific batches of our MadeGood granola bars, produced between January and November 2024, are within the scope of the recall. The product varieties included in the recall are available here.
How can I tell if the product I have is part of the recall?
You can check the UPCs and expiry dates on the packaging against the potentially affected items listed here. We encourage you to check your products and return them to the store where the items were purchased. You will receive a full refund. The store will destroy the product.

If you have purchased a product that is part of the recall, please return it to the store where you bought it. We're offering full refunds at the retailer where you purchased the MadeGood products.

Where is MadeGood sold?
MadeGood products are sold throughout Canada, the United States, and other international markets, in various retail stores and online. We are working with retailers to ensure all recalled products are promptly removed from shelves.
How is MadeGood addressing the issue?
We have conducted an extensive investigation where the recalled products were manufactured and have identified the source of an isolated issue in the manufacturing process that has been corrected. The company has remedied the issue and tested the new processes to ensure that any future is fully mitigated.
